My culture, your culture, our culture 

Intombi yoWushe, hlathi, mjoli.  

 I grew up in a suburb, went to a private school and had white friends. Culture and the in’s and outs of it was foreign talk to me.  

 As I fell more and more in love  with fashion, I got to explore different cultures through obsessing with an amazing fashion designer, Laduma Ngxokolo:  

   
 I’m on a journey to discover myself. I found that to be whole, I cannot live in a bubble where I think culture is not important. 

I had an assignment where I had to do a portrait of myself and my theme was culture. Through research I fell in love with the Surma tribe:  

    
 As an African, there is a lot I still need to learn.
